Long Practice Description

As a weight-neutral and non-diet registered dietitian nutritionist, I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with their relationship with food to empower them to mindfully and intuitively nourish and move their bodies by honoring their inner wisdom so they can make peace with food, develop a compassionate and nonjudgmental relationship with food and their bodies and cultivate a nurturing self-care practice. I help individuals bring greater awareness, curiosity and compassion to their food choices, eating behaviors, thoughts and feelings so they can nourish their bodies and minds and thrive.

As a specialist in sports nutrition, I am passionate about empowering athletes who are feeling confused and unsure how to fuel and hydrate their bodies due to the mixed messages they receive from the media and others to listen to their inner wisdom and observe their body’s internal cues and responses so that they can decide how best to apply sports nutrition guidelines to their sport, training schedule, food preferences and lifestyle to achieve peak athletic performance and reach optimal health and well-being.

As a dietitian nutritionist that understands how debilitating OCD can be and how intense OCD fears can feel, I am passionate about empowering teenagers and adults who are struggling with OCD and their relationship with food to face their OCD food fears.  My mission is to provide individuals with the tools to bring greater awareness, curiosity, and compassion to their food and eating thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This will enable them to cultivate the courage to challenge and eventually minimize/overcome their OCD food fears as well as develop a compassionate and nonjudgmental relationship with food and a nurturing self-care practice.
